4 hour work week: a book with a strategy to travel for longer periods
I really enjoy reading while I travel.
I always carry a tablet with me for all my trips with dozens of books in it, so that I can enjoy a good read without paperback book taking a lot of space in by bag.
One of the books I read recently was the "4 hour work week" by Tim Ferriss (please click here for the official book and author website), which, to me, was an inspiring book.
This inspiring book talks about entrepreneurship strategies and how we can gain time by using remote work.
The goal of the author is to give us ideas on how we can minimize the time spent working and give us more time to do what we like to do.
One of suggestion Tim Ferriss gives us, is to use the extra time we can gain by creating a business or increasing our remote working to travel for longer periods.
Instead of traveling just a couple weeks a year, Tim defends we should spend longer times traveling, and I do agree with Tim!
Tim Ferris gives us plenty of inspiring ideas to create self-sufficient businesses (also know as "muses") that can generate a good cash flow without a lot of work. The plan would be to travel with a laptop and work while traveling.
Probably many youtubers and bloggers have been inspired with this book and are currently applying Tim Ferriss' ideas!
Tim talks about his own experience on how he has spent long periods traveling and learning local cultures, and having unique experiences while his businesses generate the money he needs to travel long term.
His stories are inspiring and make us want to start doing exactly as he did it!
The most interesting part, is that I believe his suggestions and ideas can really work in our favor.
I don't think I could have read a more appropriate book while traveling!
